Guardian Childcare & Early Learning – Mount Eliza

Every day is an opportunity for discovery and growth at Guardian Childcare & Early Learning – Mount Eliza, which is rated exceeding in the National Quality Standard. With a range of exciting, resource-rich environments – including a veranda and outdoor spaces for each room – children are encouraged to explore and learn.

The light-filled and homely centre also has a treehouse, herb and vegetable gardens, creek beds, worm farms, compost bins, and a range of age-specific ateliers.

With a community-minded team of Educators who have been with the centre for a long time, we are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays.

Children love hosting guests at the centre, and enjoy their regular visits from the residents at Coronas Retirement Village, who do reading, singing and art activities with the children.

Our on-site cook prepares three nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. The children and Educators often collect herbs and vegetables from the gardens to add to the daily meals and use in cooking classes.

Our Educators

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.

Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Guardian Early Learning Centre – Mt Eliza is designed for year round fun! Each room at the child care centre has a large verandah space and designated yard, allowing for outdoor play in all weather conditions. Surrounded by large trees, veggie patches and worm farms, there are plenty of opportunities for inquisitive minds to explore and learn in nature.

As well as the indoor/outdoor experiences on offer, the children love special visits from the local community. Water education classes from the local surf lifesaving club and craft classes from the home and hardware store nearby are two favourites.

Our passionate and experienced educators have been with the centre for many years, which helps to create our family feel. Families love returning with their new little additions and seeing the same warm, friendly faces that looked after their older children years before.

We take the time to learn about each new child and their family, including their traditions and celebrations, to ensure they settle in as quickly as possible. From a reassuring phone call to an action shot via email, you’ll always have peace of mind that your child is in safe, capable hands.

The importance of nutrition is emphasised, with fresh fruit and vegetables prepared daily by our qualified chef. We also strive to instil a love of learning, with a high quality program that supports the children to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. Each child’s individual interests and abilities are nurtured, and creativity is encouraged through play, art, dance and music.
